In a program on Fox Business, it was reported that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Waze App can help people avoid long commutes because of its brilliant idea and dynamics. Waze was acquired by Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) for a billion dollars recently. CEO of Waze Noam Bardin explained how exactly Waze helps people avoid getting stuck in traffic.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Waze works on the idea of trees. It connects millions of its users in an architecture. Every time the user takes a route and reaches its destination, he marks the time taken to reach the place. If any other user has reached the same location from a different route in less time, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Waze will suggest the new user, who is gearing up to come to the said location, to take the route of the second user. This basic idea connects millions of users and makes a community which is based on a peer to peer relationship. Every user checks out the possible routes and takes the shortest path as suggested by the app (users).

Answering the question about the dependence of this app on its users, Bardin said that there will always be a person to start the route. The app builds its suggestion tables based on users’ inputs. This could be a possible flaw in the app because users can misuse the freedom and misguide millions of other people.

He said that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Waze app is entirely user oriented. It takes user data and the company has clearly said to its users that if you don’t want to share your data, don’t use us.
