An article on PC world reported that Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is going to launch a software service which will allow the users to log into their online accounts, bank accounts and systems using biometrics instead of typing. The software is manufactured by McAfee and will be rolled out by the end of this year, the source quoted Kirk Skaugen, senior vice president and general manager of the PC Client Group at Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC). The article also said that biometric authentication is not a new idea in the town. Companies like Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Google are already working on them.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s fingerprint authentication has been in the iPhones since long. Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), on the other hand is more focused on the Enterprise level of the side. An average user has to remember a total of 18 passwords for daily computer and social media usage. Intel is focusing heavily on wearables. It is also working for a wireless charging technology, which will deplete the need of power bricks, chargers and wires. SMS Audio’s BioSport In-Ear Headphones is another product by Intel regarding wireless technologies.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is also working on some mobiles and tablets. But the company is far from competing with Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), which is regarded as the juggernaut of technology and innovation. Its NFC based mobile payment system has already taken the lead.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) can beat Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) in the domain of laptops and computer. The company has a technology in the pipeline with the name of Skylake which will allow the users to use laptops without charging wires and usb. Skaugen said that the company will launch it by 2015.
