In an article on Game Spot, it was reported that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is going to launch its own game streaming service “Arcadia”. This will be a big move from the company in the gaming business. A few days ago, it was rumored that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) will launch streaming service which will be dubbed as Rio game-streaming but the source said that this is not the case.

The source said that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has been hiring its new talent by referring to this new streaming service as the “next big thing”. It has not officially disclosed the release date of the service but many insiders are now reporting that the company will reveal it with Windows 10 launch. However, the source also quoted Phil Spencer, Xbox executive, who thinks that the new service can come after Windows 10. He also hinted that it is in the early development cycles. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s new streaming service will be based on Windows Azure Cloud. Satya Nadella, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) CEO has been emphasizing the importance of mobile and Cloud since his first day at office.

Back in 2013, Microsoft’s Albert Penello said that the company can launch its streaming service based on Cloud. Penello gave technical details of this model and said that the only matter to look into for Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)  will be to check how much time the rendering of full gaming services like Gaikai would take. If it gets success in streaming the similar quality as of on-premise Cloud, rest will be easy.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) recently launched a feature using which, the gamers could stream Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles in their browsers. Arcadia streaming service will take some time to get launched, according to the source.
