Social media platforms are now taking place of outdated emergency messaging systems in the developed countries. Phone lines and conventional communication systems are subjected to get frayed out, but platforms like Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) are of high quality and maintain almost zero outage history. In a recent development to facilitate the general public with social media based emergency messaging systems, San Diego County and San Diego State University have partnered under the leadership of Ming-Hsiang Tsou, an SDSU geography professor to start a system in the county for disseminating emergency messages from Twitter.

The service will first be rolled out for top 1,000 users on Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) in the County. Tsou claims that the Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) based notification system will mine out all the problems that are present in the existing systems. People are sometimes confused because of the rumors in the agency situations. The County will maintain the level of authenticity of Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) based system inside the County. All other users apart from the top users will be notified because of the retweets from the first 1,000 users. After the system gets complete refinement and adaptability, it will be rolled out for the whole County.

Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) based notification system will be useful in cases of virus outbreaks, disasters, accidents, robberies and some other cases. San Diego County Office is conducting a training session for all the officers involved in the latest program. They are also providing their feedback on how to improve the Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) based messaging system.
