In this article we are going to present you with the list of theĀ  largest gaming companies in the world, published by Insider Monkey. Actually, as for me, I have never been a fan of any of these games. I was born in a period when we played in the garden and in the streets, riding our bikes and finding out new games for ourselves. We established our own association, with its own rules. We didn’t watch TV often, simple because there weren’t too many exciting programs for children, and because we preferred to go outside. And now, here’s a nice new modern world, where children grow up with smartphones and consoles in hand, and where the gaming industry is among the most lucrative industries in the world, having had a value of $155 billion in 2019. However, it’s also predicted its worth will exceed $250 billion by 2027.

After this short introduction, let’s see what Insider Monkey has borught up with. We have sorted out three companies as usual, giving you a brief foretaste of the entire article. But if you want to gain more arresting information, please skip ahead and jump to the largest gaming companies in the world. On the ninth spot, here’s Electronic Arts (NASDAY:EA) with a revenue of $1,593 million. Electronic Arts is a United States based company operating in video games in different genres such as Mass Effect, Need for Speed series, The Sims and Battlefield. It is also know for its EA Sports arm which produces Madden NFL, FIFA, NHL, NBA Live and UFC. Up on our list, we can find Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVIA) on the seventh spot with a revenue of $1,749 in the last quarter of 2019. Activision Blizzard made lots of popular and well-known games, such as Call of Duty, Bandicoot, World of Warcraft, Crash Guitar Hero and even Candy Crush Saga, which would at its peak, earn Activision $1 million a day alone. Nintendo stands on the fifth spot with its $2,286 million of revenue for the last quarter of 2019. Believe it or not, but Nintendo was launched 131 years ago as a trading cards company. It also produced the most popular consoles in the history of gaming, such as Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Wii and Game Boy and the Nintendo DS. Its productions are also Mario, Donkey Kong, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon and Super Smash Bros. among many others.
