Surprisingly or not, the two-thirds of the world’s total natural gas reserves are owned by only a handful of countries. Comparing the global consumption of 2019 to 2018, we can see that it increased only by 2% in 2019, while this rate was 5% in 2018. Obviously, the United States and China were the largest consumers.
According to Insider Monkey’s research, by 2035 demand for natural gas can be doubled, which will bring a difficult situation for the next generations. Consequently, those countries that have the largest gas reserves, feel the pressure to produce more gas to meet the increasing demands.
