(NASDAQ:AMZN) is looking for designers for the new games. It already offers games with its Fire TV box, but the retail giant is now looking to expand its hold on the billion dollar industry.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is making a big play on gamers, and looking forward to compete with Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Sony. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Xbox gaming console and Sony’s PlayStation gaming consoles are two of the most popular gaming devices around the world. Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) also owns Twitch, the game streaming service where people watch and share their game play experience. Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) may start launching its own games, and in the future, we could also expect a gaming console device from Amazon to target Microsoft.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) Game Studios recently announced that it is looking for a slew of game developers who are the best in the industry. Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s game design executive tweeted that Amazon Game Studios want to make new games for PCs. Amazon currently offers many games with its Fire TV set box, which allows its users to play games on TV.

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)’s landing in the gaming industry may pose a threat to Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) in the future, but for now, the Redmond giant has no competitors except for Sony when it comes to console gaming.
