Apple Inc. (AAPL) Will Cover 13% Sales Drop With New iPads?

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has issued another event invite to the press. The next big event of Apple is slated to take place on 16th October. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is likely to revamp its tablet line and we may see updated versions of new iPads and a new iPad Air. Bloomberg’s Olivia Sterns reported on this and said that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s new iPads are expected on the new event. So far, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s iPad sales are suffering. As the holiday season inches near, the company is trying to give everything it has in its box to get massive thrust in the revenues. Apple launched its iPad series back in April 2010 and sold around 225 million iPads. By the first quarter this year, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)  shipped around 29.6 million iPads. This counts a 13% drop in iPad sales as compared to the last year. This is very alarming for Apple and the company is trying to give some new features to its tablet users.

Many video leaks have also rattled the web regarding Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s new iPads. Videos from Zing.vn show new iPad Air and iPad Mini under design. iPad Air is reportedly coming with a Touch-ID features, an improved camera, revamped speakers and increased thickness. iPad Air will be around 7mm thick. Apple A8 processor is likely to get an increase in the clock speed in the new iPads.

OS X Yosemite came with some new features that were designed for new display and processors. Many sources have touted that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is likely to roll out Retina display iMac on the upcoming event. New iMacs are also a demand from the masses.

OS X Yosemite is almost confirmed to be officially revealed on the event. iPads will the fixating point on the upcoming grand event. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is expecting a lot from its new iPads.

As of 30 June 2014, Carl Icahn‘s Icahn Capital Lp hold around 52.8 million Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares.
