Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has unveiled the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, providing live updates and here is all you need to know about the two devices. In line with expectations the iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch display and the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch display. The display resolution of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are 1334×750, 326ppi and 1920×1080, 401ppi respectively. That translates into more than 1 million pixels for the iPhone 6 and more than 2 million pixels for iPhone 6 Plus.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is saying that these phones are the thinnest device it has ever made, the thickness of iPhone 6 is 6.9 mm and that of iPhone 6 Plus is 7.1 mm. Both models of the iPhone 6 come with next generation A8 processors, which are 50% more energy efficient, has 25% faster CPU performance and is 13% smaller in size, compared to the A7 processor.

The new iPhone models use Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s Metal platform for games and come with the new M8 motion coprocessor, which can estimate distances. While the iPhone 6 delivers 50 hours of audio, 11 hours of video, 10 hours LTE browsing and 11 hours Wi-Fi browsing, the same figureS for iPhone 6 Plus are 80 hours, 14 hours, 12 hours and 12 hours, respectively.

The wireless spec of both iPhone 6 is 150Mbps LTE, According to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), the new phones can support 20 LTE bands, which is more than what any other smartphone in the world supports. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) would be working with 200 carriers across the world to provide iPhone 6 to consumers. Both iPhone 6 models come with an 8 MP iSight camera and the Panorma mode can capture at up to 43 MP now.  Both models come in three colors – grey, silver and space grey. The pricing of iPhone 6 with a 2-year contract in U.S. will be $199, $299 and $399 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB model, respectively. The pricing of iPhone 6 Plus with a 2-year contract in the U.S. will be $299, $399 and $499 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB model, respectively. The pre-order will start on September 12 in U.S. and 8 more countries while the phone would start selling at retail stores on September 19.
