In a recent development, the company has announced that it has stuck some deals with advertisers regarding its BBM Channels, which are now close to 1.1 million. The company has claimed in a blog post that it is using two way strategy to monetize its BBM network. It is using ad sales network and social media sponsored content to drive traffic. The most paramount factor in this regard is the new BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) strategy after which, BBM users have become open to iPhones and Android devices. This has given rise to new streams of revenues and user bases.
