Billionaire Steven Cohen’s Point72 Asset Management revealed a passive stake in DSW Inc. (NYSE:DSW), a $2.3 billion retailer. Mr. Cohen’s stake amasses 4.72 million class A shares of the company, which are equal to 5.7% of the outstanding stock. Point72, is Cohen’s new fund, after his previous firm, SAC Capital Advisors was involved in a loud insider trading case, which resulted in trial of two of its portfolio managers. SAC Capital held 1.22 million shares of DSW Inc. (NYSE:DSW) at the end of March, the stake being surged by over 1,600% on the quarter.
John Lykouretzos‘ Hoplite Capital Management has more than doubled its exposure to DSW Inc. (NYSE:DSW) during the first three months of the year. Israel Englander‘s Millennium Management has also boosted its stake by 475% to 1.17 million shares. SAC Capital’s subsidiary, Sigma Capital Management, also initiated a stake in DSW Inc. (NYSE:DSW) during the first quarter, revealing ownership of 725,000 shares in its latest 13F.
