Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is perhaps the only company which took over the office, enterprise and corporate environment for years. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB), on the other hand is a time passing tool used by employees when they are exhausted by their grueling jobs.  One had to sneak Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) usage to avoid the wrath of the grumpy boss. But the social media giant has released a special version of its website which will be especially dedicated for work and people will use Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) officially in their office. Discussing this news in a program on Bloomberg, Take-Two Interactive Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick and Bloomberg’s Cory Johnson said that this is a commendable step from Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)  and companies like Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and LinkedIn Corp (NYSE:LNKD)  will be challenged by this.

Johnson said that Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has took years to learn how people interact with each other. It has finally rolled out a product that will be dedicated for collaborative workplaces. Zelnick said that it is a good step. LinkedIn Corp (NYSE:LNKD) has also many useful products for office usages. There is a new trend of social media tools for official purposes. This makes connecting and sharing of data easier than before. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Yammer, Quip and Chatter are some other tools which tend to introduce this new social work place scene. LinkedIn has some useful data sharing and connecting tools. But Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) is now in the town and experts are looking for some special and out of the box tools to make things more attractive.

Johnson said that Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) will not go for the subscription model. It has a great revenue from ads already. He said that Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) cannot compete with LinkedIn Corp (NYSE:LNKD) as far as recruitment is concerned.
