BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has another loss against Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) as Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is reported by Bloomberg to be ditching BlackBerry phones in favor of iPhones.

According to the report, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has confirmed that it will replace BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) smartphones with iPhones made by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) as this year closes.

Ford, Apple, BlackBerry, is Apple a good stock to buy, is Ford a good stock to buy, is BlackBerry a good stock to buy, enterprise,

Sara Tatchio, a spokeswoman for Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), confirmed yesterday in an interview that around 3,300 employees of the automaker will be given Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) smartphones to replace their BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) smartphones.

What’s more, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has lost more than 3,300 units of smartphones to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) as Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is said to be replacing about 6,000 feature phones with smartphones, presumably iPhones, over the next two years.

As a result of this shift to iPhones, the automaker is said in a job posting Bloomberg cited to have hired a mobile technology analyst to spearhead the “global deployment of corporate iPhones.”

BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) was once the dominant player in the enterprise market as companies were more trusting of the company’s reputation for secure communication. However, the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone as well as Android smartphones have banked on their popularity to steal large chunks of that market away from the once-mighty BlackBerry.

As a result, BlackBerry has lost some major battles to the iPhone maker as of late. US government agencies such the Department of Defense and the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency have deployed iPhones for their personnel. Private companies, such as Home Depot early last year which replaced 10,000 BlackBerry smartphones with iPhones for employees, have also moved to Apple.
