It’s official now, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Google Maps now takes you outside this world. The mapping service is now not restricted to the Earth, but also now lets you explore the Moon and Mars, albeit not as clearly as Earth. PetaPixal, revealed in a post that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Google Maps can now be used to explore the surface of the Moon and Mars more thoroughly than has ever been possible before.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s unveiled this new feature to celebrate the Mars Curiosity Rover’s second ‘anniversary’ on the Martian surface. The source mentioned that even though this new service is not as detailed as Google Maps on Earth, it shows a ridiculous amount of detail and information about Earth’s own little natural satellite and the red planet.

To experience it yourself, users can head to Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Google Maps and then can zoom out as far as they can, press the “Explore” button and they will have Mars and the moon at their fingertips.
