Bungie, Inc. will be releasing “Destiny” in a week and the feature is expected by the gaming community to be an interesting novelty.

Using “Destiny Planet View,” gamers can explore the Red Planet with an interface familiar to those who have already used the Street View feature of Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Maps.

In the video teaser embedded below, the feature is said to be “Created with Google technologies.” As Re/code points out, users will experience walking around the Mars landscape of the game with motionless characters in scenes like those captured by the mapping cars Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) used to make Street View.

“Earth. It’s fair to say that by now we’ve thoroughly explored our planet. But what if we could explore the planets around us, centuries from now, after we colonized them and then later, lost them, to what came next?” Bungie, Inc. says in the teaser below.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) shareholders includes George Soros’ Soros Fund Management. The hedge fund reported 194,489 shares in the company by the end of the first half of the year.
