In the last few days, searches for musical artists on Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) has seen some significant change. Instead of just getting search results and relevant information on the artist, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s users are also being displayed a ‘Listen Now’ ad label, promoting music services. The music services being promoted through the Listen Now label includes Spotify, Rhapsody, Beats Music and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Google Play. Digits, the tech news arm of the Wall Street Journal, recently did a story elaborating these new ads.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) was also found testing the ‘Watch Now’ ads in Februrary this year, similar to the current ‘Listen Now’ ads. These ads are being displayed on both, desktop and mobile platforms and are reported to be doing good for some advertisers. Digits cited a spokesperson from the company confirming that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is being paid by the music services for each click they get through these new ads.
