Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has launched new cloud-first media services for its Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. The new media services include HD-quality live streaming, end-to-end content protection capabilities and a new indexing service, which will simplify the indexing of audio and video content thereby making it easier for users to search for them. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) unveiled these new features to Azure Media Services yesterday, a day before the opening of International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), followed by a press release on its website.

According to Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), Azure Media Services allows customers to move the infrastructure behind hosting, managing and distributing of content to cloud, so that they can focus on content creation and monetization.  Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) also announced the addition of four new partners to Azure Media Services’ ecosystem – NewTek TriCaster, Cires21, Telestream’s Wirecast and JW Player.
