Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) announced in a press release that it has hired Margaret L. (Peggy) Johnson as the executive vice president of Business Development. She will be reporting to Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s chief executive officer, Satya Nadella.

Johnson would be joining Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) after quitting QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM), where she most recently served as executive vice president of Qualcomm Technologies and president of global market development.

“Peggy shares our worldview and knows what it takes to drive new growth in mobility and the cloud. Her experience uniquely positions her to lead Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s business development efforts, and she will be a great addition to our senior leadership team,” Nadella said.

Johnson has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from San Diego State University. At Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) her responsibilities will include driving strategic business deals and partnerships across various industries with key customers, strategic innovation partners, OEMs, key accounts, third-party publishers and industry influencers.
