Steven Cohen informed guests at the conference that his “cryptomaniac” son was instrumental in changing his mind. Cohen owns the New York Mets, a prominent sports franchise, and has a personal net worth of $11 billion. Between March and June of this year, the portfolio value of Point72 Asset Management climbed by nearly $800 million. Amazon.com, Uber Technologies, and Salesforce.com were among the portfolio’s top stocks at the conclusion of the second quarter of 2021.
