Borderfree Inc(NASDAQ:BRDR) received a buy investment rating from Canaccord Genuity, which initiated coverage Tuesday of the provider of an international online-sales platform.

The firm cited “solid growth for an extended period of time.”

BRDR was up nearly 8% in recent pre-market trading after closing Monday at $14.43. Since its public debut last month, the stock has traded in a range of $13.29 to $21.25.

Wave Systems Corp.(NASDAQ:WAVX) shares were higher nearly 30% in recent pre-market trade after entering a collaboration agreement with Micron Technology (MU) to develop solutions designed to strengthen user protection against current and emerging threats to compute and embedded platforms.

WAVX is trading in the lower half of the 52-week range between $0.69 and $2.68. MU was higher 0.4% at $21.98. It is trading in the upper half of the 52-week range between $9.07 and $25.68.

“This collaboration is focused on the detection and remediation of advanced persistent threats, the most advanced forms of malware capable of infecting a wide array of IP-connected devices,” the companies said in a statement.

Micron is a semiconductor maker while Wave Systems makes products for hardware-based digital security.

Citing Greenview Data, the companies said that security breaches from laptops, cell phones and other portable devices involved almost 1.5 million records in 2013. Of the total number of breaches, 37% involved an unknown number of records, so the actual number could be 2 million or more.

The two companies said they plan announcements regarding products in development in the second half of 2014.
