Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) yesterday announced on its Facebook page the opening of its 50th supercharger in Europe, the location of the new supercharger is Narbonne, France. The company is increasing its supercharger network at a breakneck speed across Europe for making a quick charge convenient for its car buyers.
Including this 50th supercharger, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) now has 164 operational supercharger locations, spread across Europe, North America, and Asia. A supercharger charges Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s Model S at 120 kW, compared to 11kW that home charging delivers, this allows the Model S to get 80% charged in only 40 minutes. Countries in Europe, where Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) currently has operational supercharger include Austria, Denmark, England, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium and Slovenia.
