Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s CEO Elon Musk has announced in a tweet that his company is planning to introduce some changes in Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s cars to facilitate its customers. He was responding to an open letter by two Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s car owners based in New York. The letter was published in Palo Alto Weekly, and got a lot of popularity within hours. An article on Re/Code discussed this open letter to Tesla and shared the details of the suggestions made by “two highly satisfied Tesla owners from Southold, New York.”
The letter proposed some basic changes in the overall feel and features of the Tesla cars. For example, it suggested Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) to change the depth of sun visor to facilitate the short drivers and also to add more blind spot monitors in the car. There was also a demand of a better placed cup holder in the car, among other things. The letter also demanded sound sensors to detect close objects and parking barriers to ensure the collision avoidance.
The unnamed writers of the letter also suggested including a better touch spot for accepting the incoming calls and voice dialing feature through which the users will be able to speak out any number to dial in the car. They also suggested Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) to redesign the power charging slot so that it can close automatically after the power cod is removed from it.
Elon Musk said in his tweet that Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has taken note of all the suggestions in the letter will be implementing many of the proposed changes very soon.
