Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) user growth may be slowing in a meaningful way and is lower than expected by observers, the brokerage firm Sterne Agee believes.

However, this should not dampen outlooks for the firm’s second quarter performance, especially in terms of monetization, as the firm believes that this area may perhaps beat expectations. Though Sterne Agee is not changing its Neutral rating on Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) stock, it considers the company’s long term positioning to have improved due to new advances.

It seems, however, based on recent information from Twitter, that it believes it still has a firm footing in the social media field. For example, a recently-published article on the Twitter blog points to its strength as a social network with millennials.
