Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) unveiled two new features for public figures using the platform to connect with their fans and followers. In Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR)’s lingo the genuine account of a public figure is referred to as ‘verified’ user. The company announced these new features on its Media Blog, yesterday. In the past also Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) has unveiled features exclusively for its verified users like notifications filtering, which allows them to manage the large volumes of tweets they receive.
The first feature that has been launched for both iOS and Android mobile operating systems, notifies a verified user, when another verified user starts following them. The second feature launched exclusively on the iOS mobile operating system allows verified users to see verified follows from their own Twitter profile.
