Following the completion of this transaction, Weidman now holds a total of 7,525.4401 shares directly, while holding 50,380.1741 shares indirectly in the company. Waste Management, Inc. (NYSE:WM), a $21.53 billion market cap company, is a provider of waste management services in North America. WM’s subsidiaries provide collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal services. WM is a developer, operator and owner of waste-to-energy and landfill gas-to-energy facilities in the United States.
The largest outside investment comes from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust, the hedge fund run by Michael Larson. After showing no change in its holdings last quarter, the trust holds 18,633,672 shares worth approximately $833 million.
