Which are the countries that have smarter kids than America? The United States are one of the most developed countries, with the powerful military and good economy. But when it comes to education, unfortunately, it is still far behind from countries that are performing high in this field. The education is a very important part of any country and that is why every country is trying to improve the educational system. The general test that is checking the capacity and capability of a country was made by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The Programme for International Student Assessment or PISA has administered a standardized test all around the globe, so it is pretty easy to compare the results and conclude the level of education for each country.

The PISA test consists of testing 15-year old students in subjects: reading, mathematics, and science. In 2015, 540,000 students took the test and the United States had ended up outside the top 20 countries, which indicated that the country needs serious education reforms. The thing that needs to be emphasized is that these results do not mean that the smartest kid in the US is not smarter than the smartest kid in the country that ended up in the top 20. This just means that the average student in the country is not as bright as the average student in top 20 countries. It is hard to believe that the country that has Mark Zuckerberg and late Steve Jobs is not in the top 20. But that only means that it has to reform the education system and the results will come.

In order to learn more about which countries beat the US, you should read Insider Monkey’s article 20 Countries That Have Smarter Kids Than America.
