The 90s inherited some music trends from the 80s but it had its own contribution the history too. Hip-hop held on to its popularity and newer artists brought in their uniqueness. And Nirvana went on to sell 30 million copies of their Nevermind album even though the initial expectation was selling around 200,000 only.
