Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)‘s iPhone, due to its high popularity among consumers, create a lot of buzz every time prior to the release of a new model. While it is still not known when exactly Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) will release the new iPhone, or what its specifications will be, there are a lot of rumors, such as that the new model will have a larger, 5.5 inch screen. Another piece of information came out today from Cult of Mac, which stated that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s partners’ facility that produces sapphire glass is almost ready to start mass production. Therefore, it might be that the next iPhone will have a sapphire display.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s partner company that was making sapphire glass for the iPhone 5S’s Touch ID button, GT Advanced GT Advanced Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:GTAT) has released its financial results for the second quarter of 2014 recently. The company stated in a statement that it has almost completed the construction of a sapphire glass facility in Arizona and will soon be able to produce sapphire glass.

The Cult of Mac also mentioned that earlier there have been speculations about a sapphire glass display for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s next iPhone. However, the image of a new sapphire panel, was just showing another type of Gorilla Glass.
